Call 804.935.3090. Juvenile Crimes and Local CourtsDefense attorney J. Paul Gregorio handles all our firm's criminal cases. He has been handling juvenile offenses and adult criminal cases in Richmond, and Hanover County, Chesterfield County, Henrico County and Goochland County since 1996. Judges in different juvenile courts can give very different sentences. Where one judge may sentence a teen to three days in jail, in another county the teen won't serve jail time at all. Lawyers who regularly work in our local juvenile courts are familiar with the prosecutors, judges and local rules. We know what sentences are likely and what alternative sentencing options are available in this area. Mr. Gregorio defends teens facing charges for these and other juvenile crimes:
Sentencing for Juvenile OffensesIf your teen is innocent of the charges, we work hard to prove that so they don't face the stigma or consequences of a conviction. (Juvenile records are sealed once your child reaches the age of 18 so youthful mistakes need not follow them into adulthood.) If your teen was guilty of some illegal behavior, we work with the court to get an alternative sentence. Teen alternative sentencing options can include reporting to a detention center or a day reporting center, entering a shoplifting program or a drug treatment program. If this is your teen's first offense, we will ask the court for a "deferred disposition." That means that once your teen has completed probation and done their community service or program, the charges will be completely dismissed. Call our office and talk with an attorney. We offer a free initial consultation, weekend appointments can be arranged and we return after-hours calls promptly. Call 804.935.3090. |
